Delegate Akers moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:
A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding a new article and a new section, designated §18-9H-1; and to amend the code by adding a new section , designated §18B-14-12, relating to requiring public elementary and secondary schools and state institutions of higher education to display in a conspicuous location within a common area of the main building accessible to the public or in another building in a similar manner a durable poster or framed copy of the United States motto, “In God We Trust”; imposing requirements for the durable poster or framed copy; making the requirements subject to donation; and applying requirement to public charter schools.
